Many a times people have been wondering why Mr. Poku Kwarteng, the father of the late Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng is always seen spotting white in all interviews following the demise of his daughter.
It is believed that he should be seen in black since black is predominantly considered as a symbol of mourning.
However, according to the grieving father who had just lost a star of a daughter, his choice of white clothes is according to the customs of the Akans. The father made this revelation in earlier interviews.
Explaining further, the family spokesman stated that according to the customs of the Akans, a father who has lost a child for the first time is supposed to wear white clothes.
He therefore maintained that Mr. Kwarteng’s way of dressing during the period is traditional and in line with the customs of their land and hence there is nothing wrong about it.
The family spokesman also debunked rumours that Ebony’s father’s choice of clothing was linked with some occultism or rituals.
It is for such reasons that the family has decided to take legal actions against individuals who made some allegations regarding the lost of the ‘kupe’ hitmaker who stood a great chance of becoming the first female musician to win the most coveted award at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards showdown.
